A customer friend asked if I could do cupcake for his little nephew, so I thought perhaps a theme cupcake would be nice. So I asked her if she likes Kungfu Panda for edible image cupcake and right away she agreed.

Jelly Oh Jelly
I'm not a fan of jelly but made jelly a couple of times and never thought that if you are creative it can be good as cake. A couple of weeks ago a lady called me and asked if I organised class for Jelly decorations... which she said is "hit" now. So I began to asked around and got so fasinated by the creativity of OQjelly shop and bought the different types of mould. Who could imagine novelty moulds from Wilton are being used for Jelly. Ever thought of that? So I asked my mum if she knows about Jelly and to my surprised she said the unique jelly has been around for a long time and its there in her 50 yrs old secret recipe book. So now the trend it coming back I guess. So this is my creation......
Back To School Again
This week starts my new semester - Advance In Baking after a long 6 months break. Well, its time to get into momentum... Its going to be another 60 weeks workshops plus 6 days of practical and theory exams. We had brefing over the topics were are going to cover. This time practical will include oral test as well.... hmmm gets tougher as we progress plus a write up on topic pick by the school. I am very grateful my husband and children are very supportive over my career and educational path. May Allah blessed... Iny'Allah.

Italian Meringue Butter cream. Cream the butter and cake margarine till fluffy into two fold. Boil the sugar and water to form crystalization. Whisk the egg white and sugar till meringue stage. AT 120' deg add sugar syrup to meringue and later it to the creamed butter.


Tan See Fong in Singapore 2 to 6 June 08
This week is a most memorable week for me cos I finally get to meet "the sifu -master of cake deco" himself Mr Tan See Fong and attended his workshop. Tan See Fong has always been my idol in cake deco, his great hands has produced many great cake decorating techniques and I am very proud to be part of his class.

Month of May celebrates many good occations, two of which is Irfan's and my birthday. I am so touch Yasmine & Irfan bought me a small cake..... cos mum's not baking.
