Creme Caramel and Creme Brulee

Happy Deepavali to all my Hindu Friends!!!

This is creme caramel. Made caramel (sugar & water) boiled till thicken. Fresh cream boiled and added into whisked egg yolk and baked on Bain Marie and later chilled. Great for hot humid day dessert.

Mousse Dessert

This week's class project, mousse dessert. There are several ways to present the dessert on of which in a platter with the tulip casing and decorated with sauce like mango or raspberry. One of the favourite would be in the plastic cups.

Progress Practical Test 3- Bavarian Cream cake

Yet another nerve wracking day... exams ended with high note. We did the Bavarian cream cake. Cake decorated with finger sponge and top with peach and cherries. Brought it to office and all thumbs up..... guess I passed their taste buds.

Christmas Fruit Cake

This Rich Fruit cake covered with marzipan and coated with sugar and royal icing as the decorated snow falls. The ornaments are made of Marzipan-snowman, penguin and christmas tree.

Well check it out, this is another type of tiny fruit ornaments made from the yellow beans popular dessert from Thailand called look choop. Spent the Hari Raya Eve just to do this.... unique desserts.

Raya Goodies

Finally, the last batch of raya goodies for delivery and collection ended on 29 Sep 08. We reached home almost 1 am. Thanks to hubby and dad who helped on the delivery as well.

Christmas Yule Log Cake

Well, no its not Christmas yet, but this is one of the assignment for this week. All the ornaments we hand made by sugar dolls and marzipan.
